Fabrice Touils tips to keep you calm, cool and collective at the poker table

Fabrice Touil knows that Being successful at the poker table requires more than just having a good hand. To be successful, you need to be able to control your emotions your opponents shouldn’t be able to tell what you are thinking. Here are Fabrice tips to help you keep your emotions in check.

1. Don’t Think about things that stress you out

If you are thinking about the bills you have to pay or something that bothers you, it will be shown in your body language, and on your face, even if you are not conscious of it, it will relay over the fact that you are nervous and unsure to everyone at the table. Try to breathe and relax before a game. It’s best to try to distance between yourself and your other concerns. If you are too concerned about other aspects of your life, it will not only show on your face, but it will also make it more difficult to focus on your game.

2. Control Your Eyes

The littlest eye movements can give you away. Your eye movements are completely uncontrolled, and they can give your opponents a clear view of what you are thinking. Your eyes should be leveled not flickering. Try not looking side to side during the game. Do not stare into space or at an opponent. This will give over the Impression that you are crazy and not neutral. Wear sunglasses while playing live poker, it keeps eyes hidden.

3. Don’t Twitch

Your eyes are not the only body parts that can give you away. Your other body movements can be quite telling. Those nervous tremors we are all familiar with and can not control such as  Tapping your feet, scratching your head, biting your nails, are behaviors that typically don’t fare so well for players playing live poker.

4. Have a Steady Voice

Managing to keep your eyes and body still your voice might even be a tell at the poker table. If you are unable to keep the tone or your voice confident and neutral when placing your bet your opponents will start to take notice. Like a shark sensing someone’s fear in the water. Try to keep calm, and  if you have nervous tendencies you should only speak when you need to in a steady tone
